Notes	On 13 Feb 1511, in the parish of Tetbury, Gloucester, England, the will of William Bydell was proved. That will was witnessed by Sir John Dobyns, Vicar of Tetbury, Thomas Palmer, Richard Bowre, and Gilbert Norreys. He may have been the same Gilbert Norreys who was alive in 1554 but was more likely his father, having been an adult already in 1511. While we have no proof that his son was the following Gilbert Norreys, there is certainly good reason to believe that the next Gilbert was his son. Gilbert Norreys left no known will but undoubtedly had at least two sons, William Norreys of Stonehouse (a few miles from Tetbury) and Gilbert Norreys of Tetbury.
