| Notes | He was probably the youngest son of Robert Norris, and probably also his only surviving son, since he is the only one mentioned in Robert's will. He was not listed in a census of Southampton in 1698, which would indicate that he was either not yet born or was not at home at the time of the census. We do not know who John's wife was, having only the Robert Norris will information to reconstruct this family. We do know from that document that John had at least seven children: Nathan, John Jr., Stephen, Peter, Hannah, Rhoda, and Keziah. In addition it is believed he had another son, Robert, after John's death. | |
