Photos can hardly capture the beauty of the canyon.

The train goes up and down through the canyon.

The train gets close to the cliff faces as it winds its way through the canyon.

This is what the comfortable interior looks like inside the Flagstaff car.

This is one of the roofless cars that give the best views of the Canyon scenery.

More cliffs and rock formations along the Verde Canyon Railroad.

Entering the one long tunnel through the mountains.

Looking for the light at the end of the tunnel.

There is the light at the end of the tunnel.

Another view of more cliffs and rocks as the train heads up the canyon.

There is the one steel truss bridge that is not far from the end of the ride before we turn around and head back.

Rock cliff formations along the sides of Verde Canyon as we continue up the canyon at about 15 mph.

The train departs at 1:00 pm so that the canyon is lit up nicely by the sun.

You can see the red colors of the cliff faces reflected in the still parts of the river.

You can see some river rapids through the trees here.

Lots of orange and red colors along with various shades of grey paint the cliffs and rock formations.

There is one of the two engines that pull us up and down the mountains of the Verde Canyon.

Looking up through the truss bridge.

Two happy passengers enjoying the ride on the Verde Canyon Railroad.

Little train museum at the Depot.

These springs give a very smooth and comfortable ride.

Watch your step!
